Community

Cornerstone is a community church. We are right in the middle of our community and are actively involved through service and hosting events. Christ cared about the physical needs of His community as well as the spiritual needs and we strive to follow His example.

Food Cupboard

One of the many ways our church seeks to serve our community is by providing food for those in need.  Our food cupboard operates out of the Lighthouse located next to the church at 2058 E. Allegheny Avenue and is open every Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon (except Thursdays immediately following the first Tuesday of the month).  Recipients must sign up to make an appointment the first time they come and bring proof of residence in the 19134 zip code.  We would also love for you to share your prayer requests and pray for you during this time.

Family Fun Days

We host an amazing Family Fun Day outreaches twice a year that attract about 1000 people from our community.  These events feature inflatables, a water park, carnival games, contests, face painting, prizes and lots of free food.

Productive Lives

Productive Lives grew out of the vision of our Pastor Joe Darrow.  The purpose of Productive Lives is to connect and train Christians with inner city ministry.  Dr. Cameron Garvin leads Productive Lives.  Individuals, church groups, youth groups and schools come and serve with our Cornerstone ministry as well as other partner churches.  The Productive Lives operates our Hewitt Center where overnight volunteers can stay and fellowship.  You can learn more about Productive lives at productivelives.org.
